Here is a workaround to install the Canon LBP2900 laser printer to a Mac. The LBP2900 model is a very economic laser printer (99 EUR / $145) that normally works with windows computers only. This workaround lets you install the printer nevertheless, it works for OS X 10.4.5 and up*
1. Download this modified CAPT folder: http://boolet.free.fr/CAPT.zip
2. Rename your "CAPT" folder (Library/Printers/Canon) to "CAPT_OLD" or anything like that
3. Put the new CAPT folder here: Library/Printers/Canon
4. Restart
5. Install the lastest CANON driver (Printer Driver)
6. Restart
7. Choose "Add printer" and plug the USB cable of the LBP2900
8. The printer will now be recognized and the drivers will be installed.
9. You can also share LBP2900 on the network!
