Question & Answer
Q: I'm curious, but extremely skeptical. Can you tell me how a P4 box can run Mac OS X natively? If the box can do this, I seriously doubt that there is much stability. Also, a few tech spec would be nice- What graphics, ports, etc. do you get? - Big claims need a bit more backup! Cheers, Chris.

A: Hello! Apple have just started producing MacOSX for Intel Processors. In a year or so, the PowerPC macs will be replaced by ones powered by Intel Processors (x86) (a huge blow for IBM who make the PPC chips). Apple have released OSX Intel to developers, and this machine is a clone of the Intel Mac. Graphics is Intel GMA900. Ports are as standard PC, Ethernet, Sound, Serial, Printer, USB2, PS2 (though Tiger OSX doesn't like PS2 mice very much, they are usable, but USB mice are better anyway). About stability, its runs as fast and as stable as a Top end mac. Twice as much speed as a G4 is noticeable in the majority of applications. Seeing as the PC sports a SSE3 P4, Rosetta and Quartz Extreme run brilliantly. Just like a mac. That's because, It kind-of is.
